A small fitness class actively using indoor rowers

Friends of PULL Rowing,

As many of you are already aware, PULL Rowing will be closing at the end of March. It was such a gut-wrenching decision for us, and we’ve greatly appreciated every heartfelt message and conversation since making the announcement to our current crew on February 16.

Though our calling to full time ministry work at Vox Church is clear, saying goodbye to our PULL family is very hard! But along with the sadness, we have an incredible amount of joy and gratitude as we reflect back on these past three years — friendships made, success stories witnessed, and all the wonderful moments we’ve shared with you both in and out of classes.

But when one door closes, another door opens. We are excited to announce that rowing will continue at 27 South Main Street in Branford! PULL members Jim Palmer, April Palmer and Joe Criscuolo are opening a new studio — CREW Rowing — in the PULL space, with classes starting on Monday, April 1. We hope their new endeavor will be an amazing success, and encourage you to get more information from April (203-637-4152), Jim (203-627-4151) or their website —coming very soon — and keep rowing!

In the meantime, PULL Rowing is going out strong! As we enter our last week, we invite you to take a final class or two with us and also come by on Saturday, March 30 as we say goodbye and celebrate our PULL adventure with a special morning of snacks, photo ops and, of course, some incredible rowing classes (please sign up, as you always have, if you plan on taking a class, thank you!).

As we welcome in this new season of our life, we will always hold dear the memories and relationships we’ve made through PULL. To that end, we will be keeping our pullrowing@gmail.com account open indefinitely, and are always just a text or email away. So if you want to reach us for any reason, please feel free, we would love to hear from you. And for you local folks, the invitation to join us on Sundays at Vox Church in New Haven is open indefinitely, too.

Blessings to you all, and thank you for your support of PULL Rowing! We’ve had a blast, and it’s been an honor and a privilege to spend these last three years with you.

Be your best!

Tom & Lisa

Rowing is a fantastic low-impact exercise that offers a complete and total body workout, using all major muscle groups without any bone jarring movements that can cause injury. Rowing builds strength and endurance, and is an excellent cardiovascular workout that is easy on the joints. It is great for your core, improves your posture and can burn over 1,000 calories in an hour! Regardless of your fitness level, age or body type, rowing is an effective and sustainable form of exercise...and it's fun! Row. Repeat. Results!
